In the sixties, one of Italy’s most famous songstresses informed us that;

“When you are here, here besides me, the room no longer has walls, just an infinity of trees...”

At Puntodivista you’ll experience a room not so very dissimilar.

The first floor bedroom features a glass wall, affording wondrous views of an enchanting landscape. The feeling here is akin to that offered by a sea view, or a gentle fire; enchanting movement and yet, simultaneously, a vision which is unchanging. Perfectly restive, absolutely timeless…

The prevailing light conditions play on the rooms’ colours, creating an evolving - and yet perfectly harmonious – ambience.
In its simplicity, the restoration (  of the room and the outside terrace offers a dialogue with nature and silence. The bathroom is a model of discreet, considered design, its colours evoking the red fruits...

The second bedroom opens directly on the garden and, during the summer months, the hydrangeas and pomegranates provide a feeling of purity and freshness. The furnishings recall the fifties, but with a hint of irony. The lighting and appliques originate from the family house, whilst the wallpapers are quintessentially English. An en suite with private bathroom, it hosts an original 1930s American pianoforte. Regularly tuned, it’s testimony of our family’s passion for the bel canto.

The luminous winter garden is available to guests throughout the day. Immersed in quiet and stillness, it’s an ideal place to get lost in a good book.  Equally, it’s a place to catch up with your hosts, be it just to chat, or for advice on what best to see locally.

Winter warmth is provided by a traditional ceramic wood-burning stove, whilst in the summer canopy windows allow the gentle hillside breezes to circulate.
